Announcing auditions for ORDINARY PEOPLE at City Theatre
Audition Dates: April 19 & 20, 2015. Production Dates: May 29 - June 14, 2015.
Auditions for ORDINARY PEOPLE will take place at City Theatre on April 19 and 20 at 7pm.

Director Erica Sutherlin will conduct auditions with cold readings from the script.

Written by Nancy Pahl Gilsenan, and adapted from the novel of the same title by Judith Guest, ORDINARY PEOPLE is the simple, but emotional story of the breakdown of the perfect family. It speaks to the spirit of a young man, his friends and family, their relationships and survival. Conrad's family, with his successful, well-intentioned father, and his beautiful, organized, and remote mother is in terrible jeopardy. They are all ordinary people and each is fighting a hard battle to understand and survive the tragedy of the death of Conrad's older brother.

Casting will include the following roles:

CONRAD JARRETT: young man (age 17-20)

CAL JARRETT: Conrad's father (age 40+)

BETH JARRETT: Conrad's mother (age 40+)

JOE LAZENBY: Conrad's best friend (age 17-20)

STILLMAN: Boy on Conrad's swim Team (age 17-20)

JEANNINE PRATT: Conrad's girlfriend (age17-20)

KAREN ALDRICH: Conrad's friend (17-20)

DOCTOR BERGER: Conrad's psychiatrist. Male or female (age 40+);

SALAN: Conrad's swim coach (age 30+).
