Light Opera of New Jersey (LONJ) is pleased to announce Audition registrations are now opened for it musical theater production of Gilbert & Sullivan's H.M.S. Pinafore or The Lass that Loved a Sailor.
H.M.S. Pinafore is a comic operetta by Gilbert and Sullivan, satirizing the British class system. It’s filled with catchy tunes, clever lyrics, and a humorous plot. It follows the story of a naval captain’s daughter who falls in love with a lower-class sailor, despite her father’s plans to marry her off to the First Lord of the Admiralty.
Directed by Veronica Shea, choreographed by Katie Bradley, with musical direction by Jason Tramm.
Its lighthearted humor and engaging story make it suitable for audiences of all ages.
Auditions will be in Basking Ridge, NJ. Registrants will be advised of exact location after registering. All roles are opened and paid.
Auditions are open to PRE-REGISTERED actors only and must be done online in advance of the audition dates. Be prepared to upload your headshot and resume. Singing from the show is encouraged.
