Auditions at Lyric
Tupelo Community Theatre
will hold auditions for
Blithe Spirit

December 11 and 12 at 6:00 PM
on the stage at the Lyric Theatre.
This smash comedy hit offers up fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, remarried but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife. A visiting happy medium Madame Arcati calls up the late, clever and insistent Elvira. As worldly and otherworldly personalities clash, Charles' current wife, Ruth, also dies and passes over to join Elvira. The two blithe spirits then lovingly
haunt Charles into perpetuity.
The cast calls for two males between the ages of 35 and 45 and five females between the ages of 25 and 65. Cast members will be required to speak in a British accent because the show is set in England and includes references to specific places in England. No advance preparation is needed. Bobby Geno will direct. Rehearsals will begin around the middle of January with production dates scheduled for
March 8-10, 2018.
