The New Orleans Ballet Association (NOBA), Chalmette Refining, L.L.C., and the St. Bernard Parish School Board invite the community to the 2012 Spring Performance, an Open House featuring the young dancers of the St. Bernard After-School Ballet Program. The free performance, to be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., will mark the culmination of 15 weeks of ballet instruction.

Olsen, directed by Ann Mahoney Kadar. Recently displaced from their home of 20 years at Canal Place, they have received support from the Contemporary Arts Center's Performance Support Program.

With eight performances still remaining in New Orleans, Disney's THE LION KING is already celebrating a record-breaking engagement at The Mahalia Jackson Theater. By the time the five-week Louisiana premiere engagement concludes on Sunday, April 15, it will have entertained nearly 85,000 people and grossed over $6.5 million at the box office, making it the highest-grossing theatrical production in New Orleans history.

(Music and Lyrics by Mack David and Al Hoffman and Jerry Livingston, Book adapted by Marcy Heisler, Music adapted and arranged by Bryan Louiselle) at the Westwego Performing Arts Theatre, 177 Sala Ave. in Westwego, through April 1 with performances Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30PM and Saturdays & Sunday matinees at 2PM. Joy Chun directs a double cast of over 100 kids ages 7-12, with choreography by Kellen Frisch.
