Due to recent damages to the Westwego Performing Arts Theatre from Hurricane Isaac, the Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS) has updated its 35th Season schedule. The Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS) announces a revised schedule for the 35th Season. For more information or questions, contact boxoffice@jpas.org or call 504-885-2000.

Since 1978, JPAS brings the best in theatre and the performing arts to venues across the state and beyond. Join JPAS for a revised season of great performances.

Tickets: Adults $18-30, Seniors/Military $15-27, Students $15-20, Kids $15. Ticket prices vary depending on location and production. Please visit www.jpas.org for more info! Join us for an unforgettable evening to benefit the 35th Anniversary Season of the Jefferson Performing Arts Society. The evening will be highlighted by the first Head Dress Ball with fabulous head dress designs modeled by local celebrities, as well as an elegant seated dinner, complimentary cocktail hour, dancing and a concert by the JPAS Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro DENNIS G. ASSAF featuring international and local vocalists FILLIPPO PINA CASTIGLIONI, (Venice), NANCY, ROSS, MICAH DESONIER, NATHAN WALKER and ARIEL ASSAF. The evening also features fabulous live and silent auctions. Patrons are encouraged to wear their own fabulous head dresses to this black tie event.

British talk-show host David Frost has become a lowbrow laughing-stock. Richard M. Nixon has just resigned the United States presidency in total disgrace over Vietnam and the Watergate scandal. Determined to resurrect his career, Frost risks everything on a series of in-depth interviews in order to extract an apology from Nixon. The cagey Nixon, however, is equally bent on redeeming himself in his nation's eyes. In the television age, image is king, and both men are desperate to outtalk and upstage each other as the cameras roll. The result is the interview that sealed a president's legacy.

SLIM GOODBODY is back and better than ever in his new show LIGHTEN UP! It is a highly interactive, 50-minute musical show designed to help children, in grades K-6, learn the value of exercise and good nutrition. The show deals with the serious problems of excess weight and obesity in an entertaining and totally non-threatening way. Children are encouraged to develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors needed to make health-enhancing choices. In every musical number, the kids participate, by answering questions, volunteering, and moving along with Slim.

LES GITANS is a physical theater and dance production performed to live music, appropriate for children of all ages, even Grandpa! A modern day fairy tale about immigration, segregation and integration. Mother Mistral, a natural disaster, is sweeping through the universe, destroying everything in her path. Les Gitans are scrappy scavengers whose connection to technology and invention has enabled them to survive as nomads after their homeland is demolished. They travel far and wide in search of the Shanoa Nation, a people deeply connected to nature living in a rich and fertile region - the only place untouched by Mother Mistral. Les Gitans and the Shanoa Nation are as different as black and white and their meeting sparks uproar and feuding. Mother Mistral however is rolling near, and Shanoa Nation will be the last hit. Will Les Gitans and the Shanoa Nation all be abolished forever or will they set aside their pride, learn to work and live together in harmony to save humanity?
