Southern Rep Theatre has announced details of its 2014-15 Lagniappe Series production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL by Charles Dickens. The three-week play will include Saturday and Sunday Matinees running December 6 - December 21, 2014 at Loyola University's Marquette Theatre. Previews will run December 3-5, 2014.

The iconic Charles Dickens tale of rediscovering life and love was adapted by Doris Baizley, and will be richly reimaged for this restaging. Television and film star John "Spud" McConnell will return to the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, while also directing the production.

"We're thrilled to bring A CHRISTMAS CAROL back to the stage in New Orleans," says Southern Rep Theatre's Producing Artistic Director, Aimée Hayes. "We've revised the scenic design, music and costumes, offering up a fresh take on this classic play. With Spud at the helm, audiences can expect lots of hi-jinks, fun and laughter, along with a handbell chorus and plenty of dancing!"

Featuring: Graham Burk, Laura Friedmann, Jonathan Greene, Mike Harkins, Danny Herre, Donald Lewis, Sherri Marina, Jessica Mixon, Rachael Anne Pace, Josh Smith, Joshua Toups and John "Spud" McConnell
