Rivertown Theater for the Performing Arts to Present 13, Begin. 10/11

By:

Rivertown Theater for the Performing Arts invites theater-goers to bring your teen to experience "13" - a show for them & about them! A grown-up story about growing up, "13" features an all-local, star-studded youth cast featuring 13 of the region's hottest young talent from across the metro area.

When his parents get divorced and he's forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year. Easier said than done. The star quarterback is threatening to ruin his life and his only friend, Patrice, won't talk to him. The school freak sees an opportunity for blackmail and someone is spreading the nastiest rumors.

With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, 13 is a hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it.

Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts is located at 325 Minor St. in the heart of Rivertown, Kenner LA. Plenty of parking on the streets around the theater.

Performances are on the Lagniappe Stage and will run Fridays & Saturdays - October 11,12, 18 & 19 at 7:30pm and Sunday - October 13 & 20 at 2:00pm.

Individual tickets are $15.00. Corporate and individual sponsorships, season tickets, group and military discounts are available as well. To purchase, please call the Box Office: (504) 461-9475 or 468-7221 or visit www.RivertownTheaters.com.
