When a dear friend brings you a present…that’s the feeling of violinist Vadim Gluzman, who’s given New Jersey Symphony audiences one memorable performance after another, returning to solo in Brahms’ prized Violin Concerto. Here also is a new friend, the sensational Colombian-American conductor Lina Gonzalez-Granados famed for her “ability to sculpt rich, heartfelt orchestral sound” (Chicago Sun-Times). The era-defining spirit of Romantic composer Robert Schumann weaves beautifully through this program.
