Music in the Lobby is part of NJPAC's Arts & Well-Being department, bringing professional musicians into hospital lobbies to perform and create healing environments that reduce stress and support the well-being of patients, visitors, and healthcare providers. The inaugural performance at Clara Maass features harpist Merynda Adams and violinist Rebecca Harris-Lee. Merynda Adams has performed Off-Broadway and serves as Harpist in Residence at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, while Harris-Lee has performed with the NJ Festival Orchestra, Long Island Philharmonic, and Madison String Quartet. The series will continue on the second Thursday of each month with a rotation of professional musicians performing jazz, classical, and pop genres.
