From Hollywood to Hairspray: The Music of Marc Shaiman at Kendall Main Stage Theater

The College of New Jersey's Lyric Theatre presents From Hollywood to Hairspray: The Music of Marc Shaiman, a celebration of the composer's work spanning Broadway and Hollywood. Tony Award nominee Kerry Butler, known for her roles in Hairspray, Xanadu, and Beetlejuice, joins TCNJ students for an evening of song and dance featuring music from Hairspray, Smash, Some Like It Hot, and more. The production is directed by Nathan Brewer, with choreography by Dani Juraga and music direction by Peter de Mets. The performance follows a workshop in which students had the opportunity to work directly with Shaiman in New York City.
