Bethany Baptist Jazz Vespers features the George Cables Trio, presenting an evening of jazz that combines worship with musical expression. Celebrated pianist George Cables will be joined by bassist Alexander Claffy and drummer Jerome Jennings, showcasing Cables' innovative style and rich interpretations of classic compositions. This event marks the beginning of a season-long free concert series at Newark's Bethany Baptist Church, an established venue for blending jazz and community. Cables, a recognized voice in modern jazz, continues to inspire with his unique approach and collaborations.
