A new musical by Broadway writer Jonathan Brielle Holtzman (Foxfire, Himself and Nora), who will headline alongside six-time Emmy and Tony nominee Tovah Feldshuh (Goldas Balcony, Pippin, Becoming Dr. Ruth), and Broadway's Mike Burstyn (Barnum, The Rothschilds, Aint Broadway Grand), in his semi-autobiographical musical: humorous tales of growing up in Asbury Park, wrestling with gangsters, corporate America, two ex-wives, a monkey from his Las Vegas extravaganza and his overbearing, theatrical, Jewish mother, all in the name of learning to love yourself to find love. This high energy musical is directed and choreographed by Kelli Barclay (associate on 42nd Street, State Fair and Irving Berlins White Christmas) and features a hard-swinging, eight-piece big band all joining the fun on stage. A Monkey and Me may make you laugh and consider all the things you should tell your mother!
