The 14th Annual Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, hosted at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, celebrates the legacy of the iconic Newark-born singer. This global contest showcases exceptional jazz vocalists, assessed by a distinguished panel of judges including Ann Hampton Callaway, Jon Faddis, and Nnenna Freelon, among others. The competition not only offers a platform for emerging artists but also features a performance by the 2023 winner, Tyreek McDole. This event highlights the artistic legacy of Sarah Vaughan while promoting the next generation of jazz talent.
