Bill Engvall is best known for his hilarious variations on his "Here's Your Sign" routine and for the enormously successful, Grammy-nominated "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" concert films, which sold over 9 million copies. He is also a multi-platinum selling recording artist and one of the top comedians in the country. Most recently, Bill was a contestant of season 17 of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars," starred on the TBS sitcom "The Bill Engvall Show" and made appearances on the "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Late Show with David Letterman."
A native of Galveston, Texas, Bill moved to Dallas and was working as a disc jockey with plans of becoming of a teacher. While in a nightclub one evening, Bill decided to try his hand at stand-up comedy and quickly found that making people laugh was truly his forte.
Along with his Blue Collar movies, Bill has several solo specials which aired on Comedy Central including Aged and Confused (2009), Live (2004) (certified multiplatinum). He recently reunited with Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy on the "Them Idiots Whirled Tour", which was filmed as a special for CMT and aired in March of 2012. Bill has written several books, including his autobiography Bill Engvall -Just A Guy.
