McCarter Theatre is thrilled to welcome back Emmy and Tony Award winner Tyne Daly to open its 2011-2012 Cabaret Series on Saturday, October 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Tyne Daly is no stranger to McCarter audiences, having starred in Edward Albee's Me, Myself & I on the McCarter stage, but an entire generation will also remember her as Detective Mary Beth Lacey in Cagney and Lacey for which she won four Emmy awards, plus another one for Judging Amy.

She is also a recognized star of the musical stage and cabaret, winning the Tony for Best Actress in 1990 as Mama Rose in a revival of Gypsy. And one thing you can count on: she always infuses her powerhouse vocals with the acting chops for which she's famous, and which she demonstrates this season in the Broadway revival of Master Class. Ms. Daly is currently starring in It Shoulda Been You, a new musical comedy at George Street Playhouse.

$15 Standing Room Only Tickets are available by calling (609) 258-2787; online at www.mccarter.org; or in person at the McCarter Theatre Ticket Office located at 91 University Place in Princeton.
