Centenary Stage Company's professional production of The Learned Ladies is coming to a close and time is running out to catch what audiences and critics alike are raving about. Penned by Moliere and adapted by Freyda Thomas, this zany screwball comedy enters into is final weekend. Final performances are Wednesday, October 18 at 2PM; Thursday, October 19 at 7:30PM; Friday, October 20 at 8PM; Saturday, October 21 at 8PM and Sunday, October 22 at 2PM.

Set in the 1930s and featuring a hilarious web of love stories, farcical romps and a battle of the sexes, Thomas keeps the action true to Moliere's original while providing a smorgasbord of modern treats for contemporary audiences. There is comic mayhem in Chrysale's household as the women of the house rabidly pursue the new intellectual movement of the era. Add a meek husband, a pretentious poet, a loony sister a couple of sassy servants completes what some have called "a giddy evening of theatre!" "The production has it all: A marvelously, elegant, lush set; amusing and unique staging/choreography; attractive period costumes (1930s); and (the norm for Wallnau productions)...a superior, first-rate cast including several Broadway vets." (Rick Busciglio)

Featuring a cast of professional actors, The Learned Ladies is directed by Centenary Stage Company's own award winning Artistic Director, Carl Wallnau.
