The Hammonton Art District Announces Their Upcoming Events
Artists will be out on the sidewalk and throughout the Art District painting in a competition known as "Plein Aire" from 4pm to 8pm during this month's Third Thursday. Awards and prizes will be given to the best paintings of the night. Be sure to check out the artists as their art comes alive right in front of your eyes. Third Thursday is a monthly night out in the Hammonton Art District, downtown. This month's Third Thursday will be held on Thursday, July 21st from 6pm to 9pm.
There will be live music in local businesses in downtown and on the street, along with shopping and dining specials, free entertainment and art events. The Hammonton Art District has partnered with downtown merchants to host these monthly Third Thursday Night Out events. Most activities are free or discounted.
The feature event of July's Third Thursday will be the 15th Anniversary of the Hammonton Arts Center. A free wine and cheese reception is open to everyone and will showcase the art of the founding members of the Arts Center along with celebrating the anniversary of the pioneers of art in downtown Hammonton. The reception will be held from 6pm to 8pm at the Hammonton Arts Center, located at 216 Bellevue Avenue.
The Noyes Museum of Art of Stockton will be presenting a movie about Picasso and those who attend will be able to work on an interactive art and craft project.
Casciano Coffee Bar and Sweetery will host a free opening wine and cheese reception for the artwork of Martha Piccone called "Summer Scenes". Casciano will also showcase live classic rock and contemporary sounds on the sidewalk.
Shop al Fresco throughout downtown all evening long as the retail shops bring special products and savings outside, along with fabulous items in their stores too. So stroll throughout the night and enjoy outdoor shopping and saving at Consignment Couture, Dolled Up, Gabrielle & Co., SaDee's, Sassy Sweets, Serenity for the Day Spa, Simply Stationery and Toy Market.
Restaurants throughout the downtown will also offer dinner and drink specials, including outdoor dining. So make a night of it and enjoy a relaxing evening out in downtown Hammonton.
