By:

Join us for a average day in the life of Charlie Brown and friends as Smiling Rhino Theatre presents the Broadway Award Winning Musical, YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN!

The show will perform on March 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21.

This world famous musical based on the comic strip Peanuts has strong appeal for all age groups and includes some new material from later strips chosen by the late Charles Schulz.

YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN originally opened on March 7, 1967 and featured Gary Burghoff in the title role. The Broadway Revival was presented in 1999 and played at the Ambassador Theatre with award-winning performances by Roger Bart and Kristin Chenoweth as Snoopy and Sally and was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.
The version that the Smiling Rhino Theatre will be performing will be directed by Broadway's Chad Jason.

"An average day in the life of Charlie Brown" is really just that; a day made up of little moments picked from all the days of Charlie Brown, from Valentine's Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair, all mixed in with the lives of his friends (both human and non-human) and strung together on the string of a single day, with fun uplifting songs and entertaining scenes.

Smiling Rhino Theatre is located at 247 Wanaque Avenue in Pompton Lakes NJ. Show times are Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2 and 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. Ticket price is $25 for adults, $22 for senior citizens and $18 for children 17 and younger. Group rates are available.
