Sing-a-Long-a GREASE Kicks Off UCPAC's Fall 2015 Season Tonight

The Union County Performing Arts Center will kick-off its 2015 fall season with Sing-a-Long-a Grease tonight, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. on the Mainstage. A free classic car show will take place in front of the theater before the performance.

The classic movie musical becomes an interactive show, complete with on-screen lyrics, a host who warms up the audience and trains them how to "hand-jive," and a costume contest. The car show will feature Jack Brickett's Garden State Gear Shifters and BBC Speed and Machine.

Other highlights of the Mainstage season include UCPAC favorite Uncle Floyd's Last Authentic American Traveling Burlesque Show on Nov. 13 at 8 p.m.; Nosferatu, the classic silent film with live organ accompaniment by Bernie Anderson, Jr., on Nov. 14 at 8 p.m.; the Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea presented by RSI Bank on Dec. 5 at 8 p.m.; One-Man Star Wars Trilogy performed by Charles Ross on Dec. 11 at 8 p.m.; and comedian Lisa Lampanelli, "The Queen of Mean," on Dec. 19 at 8 p.m.

The popular Split Level Concert series returns with performances by the best in folk, rock and blues artists at both The Loft at UCPAC and Hamilton Stage. Performers include Michael McDermott on Sept. 19 at 8 p.m.; Toby Lightman on Oct. 3 at 8 p.m.; Kim Richey on Oct. 24 at 8 p.m.; Willie Nile on Nov. 27 at 8 p.m.; Peter Bradley Adams on Dec. 4 at 8 p.m.; and Mary Fahl on Dec. 19 at 8 p.m.

The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders' Advancing Community Theater program (UCACT) continues with The Wild Party, Sept. 18-27; The Wizard of Oz, Nov. 6-7; and Murphy's Law: Group Therapy Gone Wild, Nov. 13-15.
