STRICTLY DISHONORABLE Actors to Perform at ELTC's Gala

By:
Three cast members from the Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company's production of "Strictly Dishonorable" will perform at the company's 35th anniversary gala on Monday, November 9.

These performers are Jennifer Bissell, Eric Stephenson, and James Rana, who have performed in other ELTC shows and galas. Jennifer performed with Andrea McArdle in "Mame" at Bucks County Playhouse and Media Theater. Her work in NYC includes roles at the Mint Theater and Theatre 80 St. Mark's. Eric's regional work includes The Fulton Theatre and The Kentucky Repertory Theatre. In NYC, he's performed with The Musical Theatre Factory. ELTC has produced four world premieres written by James, including the recent "Huckleberry Finn." He has had roles in major television shows and films, and his theater work includes The Royal Shakespeare Company in England, and Pan Asian Rep in NYC.

The entertainment includes short scenes from past ELTC productions, live music provided by Chris Sooy and Lew London, with Eric and Jennifer singing, and a trivia contest.

The evening is titled "155 in 35" since ELTC has produced over 150 plays that were first produced in 155 years spanning 1788-1943, all since 1981 when the company was founded. ELTC has also produced over 40 world and/or New Jersey premieres.

The evening begins at 5:30p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. At 6:00p.m. is a surf and turf dinner and/or vegetarian offering. At 7:00p.m., the entertainment and the trivia competition begins.

There is also a silent auction, the raffle for the Dream Vacation (tickets may be purchased in advance by contacting the office), and the recipient of the Historic Jackson Street Neighborhood Association Scholarship Fund will be announced.

"!55 in 35" will take place at Aleathea's Restaurant at the Inn of Cape May, 7 Ocean Street, and the restaurant, once again, is graciously supporting ELTC's annual gala. Cost is $55, and reservations may be made by mailing checks to East Lynne Theater Company, 121 Fourth Ave., West Cape May, NJ 08204 All proceeds go to the not-for-profit East Lynne Theater Company to support the production season and educational outreach. Donations from those unable to attend will be gratefully received, and are tax-deductible. Those donating items for the silent auction may send them to the above address, or call the office at 609-884-5898 or e-mail eastlynneco@aol.com if they need to be picked up.
