Photo Flash: Exit 82 Presents Twilight Zone LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

By:

Exit 82 Theatre Company is bringing Little Shop of Horrors to Downtown Toms River this October with a theme fit for Halloween. "Television is the source for most information today and we wanted to incorporate that theme into our show. With our new theater space in Downtown Toms River, we allow audiences to be immersed in every performance so when seeing Little Shop of Horrors, you will feel as if you're sitting in an episode of 'The Twilight Zone.' " says director and Exit 82 co-founder, Billy Cardone.

The non-profit company opened the Exit 82 Studio Theater, an immersive theater venue, on Main Street in downtown Toms River in July 2018. The space offers a unique, intimate theater experience and is BYOB for patrons over the age of 21 (beer and wine only).

A Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop of Horrors showcases a book and music by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin). For Mr. Mushnik's (Joe Hausvater) floral shop, meek assistant Seymour Krelborn (Ryan Everett Wood) stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II," (Gerald Daniel) after his crush, Audrey (Carly Cosentino). This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it - BLOOD! Little Shop of Horrors also features Emily DeMaio, Vicky Fleisch and Maria Utz as Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon, Matthew Sarnovsky as Orin and ensemble members Zack Bliss, Evan Kudish and Jennifer Shrestha.

Little Shop of Horrors runs three weeks in October; October 12 - October 14, October 19 - October 21 and October 25 - 28, 2018. Tickets are general admission and are $25 for adults and $23 for seniors. Group rates and ADA seating are also available. Performances held at the Exit 82 Studio Theater, 73 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Tickets on sale now at www.exit82theatre.com.

Celebrating ten years in business, Exit 82 Theatre Company, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization has been on the Asbury Park Press "Best of the Best Theatre" list in Ocean County four years in a row. Since 2008, Exit 82 has involved over 950 volunteers, in 25 productions and performed to over 39,000 patrons from all over the world. And with an eye on the next generation of performers Exit 82 runs a Creative and Performing Arts Academy at 34 Main Street in Toms River. Exit 82 is always looking to expand their family, so take part in supporting this local non-profit to help cultivate the arts in NJ and your community!
