Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Artistic Director, Mark W. Jones-Executive Director) Paper Mill's Children's Theatre on Tour Company will present Annie, Friday March 12, 2010 at Belleville's Cerebral Palsy Center. For over 20 years Paper Mill's performing troupe has shared the gift of their talents with school children, seniors, and special needs centers throughout the community.

The musical Annie follows the journey of Annie, Daddy Warbucks, and Annie's dog Sandy in New York City in the midst of the Depression. As an infant, Annie had been abandoned in the front steps of the New York City municipal Orphanage with a note from her parents promising to return for her someday. Life had been rough for her under the strict hand of Miss Hannigan but Annie's life begins to change. Billionaire Oliver Warbucks invites her to spend Christmas with him in his mansion and together they discover new friendship, happiness and a true sense of family.

"It is sheer joy to see our entire cast reach out after the show and share conversations and stories with audiences," says Mickey McNany, Theatre School Director. "It is a wonderful opportunity for the children to give as well as receive. We believe this experience really helps the students feel like they are making a difference in the lives of others, as well as their own. So many life lessons are learned through theatre and this is a wonderful opportunity for our talented students to feel confident, self assured, understand true purpose and be able to think outside themselves and give back. That is what true star quality is all about!"
