In October our thoughts turn to pumpkin picking, the change of seasons, and before we know it, the Holidays. Cape May Stage continues its 2017 season of "passion" with an Irish romantic comedy and two holiday plays that will get any Scrooge into the holiday spirit.

Outside Mullingar by John Patrick Shanley continues at Cape May Stage through November 11th. Outside Mullingar is a love story, about the pull of the land, the dichotomy of love, and the loneliness of grief. The play centers on Anthony and Rosemary, two middle-aged misfits that have spent their entire lives living next door to each other separated by a family feud and two gates who now have to find the courage to step over the line and take a chance on love no matter how confusing the present is or scary the future may be.

The show runs Wednesday-Saturday at 7:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday at 3 PM. Mark your calendars for these special dates and money saving offers as they only come around once each show: On October 21st there is a Pay-What-You-Wish-Matinee, on October 27th there will be a Talkback directly after the show with cast and crew, and a Best Value Night on November 1st.

Plan your holiday season now with Cape May Stage with not one but two holiday shows to bring in the New Year. Opening November 15th-December 30th is The Ultimate Christmas Show (Abridged) by Reed Martin & Austin Tichenor. A delightfully twisted holiday comedy about a variety show at St. Everybody's Non-Denominational Universalist Church that is nearly cancelled until three entertainers take over and performs the entire Variety Show. Show runs Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 PM and Saturday & Sunday at 3 PM.

For the second holiday show of the 2017 season we are proud to partner once again with Congress Hall to bring you A Christmas Carol: The Radio Show by David Alberts, opening November 25th and playing in The Harrison Room at Congress Hall. It's Christmas Eve and with the actors snowed in and unable to make it to the studios of WXMS for the live radio performance of A Christmas Carol, the sound effects person decides to take the audience through the classic tale himself. General Admission Tickets are $25, Dinner and a Show package available at $59 or a Lunch and a Show (Sundays Only) at only $39. Take advantage of the Special Kids Tickets available on Sundays for only $15. Show runs November 25th-Decemeber 30th. For dinner & a show reservations call the Blue Pig Tavern at 609-884-8422.
