New Jersey Wineries Invite Visitors To Winter Tastings And Weekly Events Across The State

The Garden State Wine Growers Association, representing more than 60 wineries and vineyards across New Jersey, is encouraging residents and visitors alike to explore the state’s wine country through a wide range of winter events and experiences taking place weekly throughout the season.

New Jersey’s wineries continue to earn national recognition for their quality and variety, offering visitors opportunities to discover new vineyards or revisit longtime favorites. Throughout the winter months, wineries across the state are hosting tastings, educational programs, food pairings, and live entertainment designed to showcase the diversity of the Garden State’s wine scene.

Looking ahead to February, participating wineries will once again take part in the popular Wine & Chocolate Trail Weekend, featuring wine tastings paired with artisanal chocolates, live music, and additional on-site activities. Wineries are expected to release individual reservation details in the coming weeks.

Featured Winery Events (Week of January 14–20)

  • Wax & Wine at Autumn Lake Winery (January 14): An evening workshop pairing wine tasting with candle-making using coconut soy wax and winter-inspired fragrances.

  • Charcuterie Board Class at Saddlehill Cellars (January 15): A hands-on class focused on creating charcuterie boards, paired with a glass of wine.

  • Live Music at Hopewell Valley Vineyards (January 16): Live music alongside wine service, with light fare and artisanal pizza available.

  • Dance Party at Summit City Winery (January 17): A themed dance night featuring music from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, accompanied by local wines.

  • Comfort Food and Wine Pairing at Valenzano Winery (January 18): A pairing event matching wines with classic comfort foods such as chili and mac and cheese.

Additional winery events are scheduled throughout the winter and can be found on the association’s online calendar.

Visitors can explore an interactive winery map, browse themed wine trails, and subscribe to the association’s In the Vines newsletter for weekly updates at newjerseywines.com.
