Centenary Stage Company will present Moe-tion Dance Theater for a one-night-only performance on Saturday, June 20 at 7 p.m. at Sitnik Theatre at the Lackland Performing Arts Center.
Under the direction of artistic director Maureen Glennon Clayton, the program will feature the premiere of a new work examining the lived experiences of aging and menopause. Developed through a collaborative process with guest choreographers and dancers, the evening will present a series of dance vignettes centered on change, connection, and growing older.
The concert will also feature performances by members of the In Motion Dance Company, highlighting young dancers alongside professional performers in an intergenerational program.
“This concert should speak to everyone,” said Glennon Clayton. “It is a look at how life changes constantly and how the ties we find mold us into who we are. It's a celebration of how strong, creative, and important it is to connect with others and how we come to accept things throughout our lives.”
