Mill Ballet School Unveils 2013 Summer Dance and Theater Camp Schedule

The Lambertville-based Mill Ballet School, dedicated to educating, inspiring, and creating high-quality dancers and individuals, has announced it 18th year of summer intensives and is currently accepting registrations. Intensives allow students to strengthen their dance abilities and receive individualized and specialized attention from the outstanding Mill Ballet School faculty, including school founders and directors Mark and Melissa Roxey.

The following summer dance and theater intensives are scheduled for 2013:

Ballet Technique Intensive, June 24 - June 28 for ages 9 - 18 - This intensive is for students who are committed to improving their ballet technique. Pilates, yoga for dancers, floor barre, body conditioning, and composition will be part of their daily schedule as well as traditional ballet classes and pre-Pointe and Pointe.

Ballet Intensive & Choreographic Workshop (1 - 4 week program), July 22 - August 16 (M-F) for ages 10 and up - This program is dedicated to broadening each student's knowledge and understanding of dance technique and composition. The morning curriculum will consist of dance conditioning or Pilates, ballet technique class, specialty class, or Pointe. Afternoon curriculum will consist of modern, jazz, and choreography. Those who enroll in the entire four-week course will have the opportunity to participate in an exchange program with Northeast Youth Ballet in Massachusetts.

Young Dancers Ballet Camp "Sleeping Beauty", July 1 - July 5 for ages 7 - 10 - Each day, dancers will participate in a ballet class as well as exercises in pantomime, dramatic interpretation, and improvisation. Dancers will leave camp with a scrapbook to remember their magical week at camp.

Musical Theater Intensive Camp "Cinderella Jr.", July 8 - July 20 (M-F) for ages 7 - 18 - Students will be grouped by age and ability, spending the morning strengthening their dance technique as well as their performance and acting skills. Afternoons will consist of rehearsals for "Cinderella Jr. A trip to NYC to see "Cinderella" on Broadway is being planned for the weekend of July 13th and 14th. The intensive will culminate on the weekend July 20th with four amazing performances!

Junior Dance Camp "Fireflies", August 13 - August 17 for ages 5 to 10 - Our firefly-themed dance camp will conclude with
an afternoon performance showcasing the students' accomplishments.
