McCarter Theatre to Host Events with 'BASVERVILLE' Author Ken Ludwig, 3/15

Ken Ludwig, creator of Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery - running March 10-29 on the Matthews Stage - and acclaimed author of How to Teach Your Children Shakespeare, will be appearing at two special events on March 15 at the Princeton Barnes and Noble and McCarter Theatre Center, respectively. Both events are free and open to the public.

Join us at the Barnes & Noble at Princeton MarketFair at Noon on Sunday, March 15th for a lively conversation, Q&A, and book signing with Baskerville creator Ken Ludwig, an internationally-acclaimed playwright whose work has been performed in more than 30 countries in over 20 languages. His best-known works include Lend Me a Tenor, Crazy for You, Moon over Buffalo, Leading Ladies, Shakespeare in Hollywood, The Game's Afoot, The Fox on the Fairway, and adaptations of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Three Musketeers, Treasure Island, and The Beaux' Stratagem. Mr. Ludwig's book How To Teach Your Children Shakespeare was published in June 2013 by Random House.

In addition to Mr. Ludwig's appearance, Barnes and Noble is joining with McCarter Theatre Center for a bookfair fundraiser. Creator of Broadway favorites Lend Me a Tenor and Crazy For You, Mr. Ludwig will reflect on his life and work in the American theater as a celebrated writer of farce. Ken will also talk about what drew him to the character of Sherlock Holmes in general and The Hound of the Baskervilles specifically; his approach to adapting Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's novel for the stage; and about the joys and challenges of mounting a world premiere.

This Dialogue on Drama discussion will take place on the Matthews Stage immediately following the 2pm performance on Sunday, March 15. We encourage you to attend this illuminating event, regardless of when you plan to see Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery.
