Maurer Productions Delivers CHILDREN'S LETTERS TO GOD To the Kelsey Theatre
Dear God, Are you really invisible or is that just a trick? How did you know you were God? These questions and more will be explored in a conversation both whimsical and earnest when Maurer Productions OnStage presents the family musical "Children's Letters to God" at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays, Jan. 8 and 15 at 7 p.m.; Saturdays, Jan. 9 and 16 at 2 and 7 p.m.; and Sundays, January 10 and 17 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.
Based on Stuart Hample's international best-selling book, this inspiring show reveals what's on the minds of five inquisitive young friends who voice their beliefs, desires, and doubts to the "Big Guy" upstairs. An energetic score of catchy melodies and dance illuminates such issues as sibling rivalry, divorce, the loss of a beloved pet, the trials of not being athletic, and the pangs of first love. The show's universal messages transcend the boundaries of age, geography, and religion.
Featured cast members are: Dominick Sannelli of Levittown, Pa., as Brett; Victoria Scialfa of Robbinsville as Joanna; Gabriella Green of East Brunswick as Iris; Matthew Blazejewski of Trenton as Theo; Jeremy Barson of Richboro, Pa., as Kicker; David Catalano of Cranbury as Joey; Kiernan Matts of Hamilton as Kiernan; Claire Norden of Newtown, Pa., as June; Kirsten Pasewaldt of Monroe as Alice; and Amy Slothower of Plainsboro as Ruby. The show is directed by Perry Award winner Jane Coult.
Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and $12 for children/students. Tickets may be purchased online at www.kelseytheatre.net or by calling the Kelsey Theatre Box Office at 609-570-3333. Free parking is available next to the theatre. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible and provides assisted listening devices upon request.
