MPAC Features Musical Variety in July
Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown shines during the month of July and their summer line-up has something to suit every taste in music and the performing arts. Among their many events, this month's calendar includes "Skate and Break," Hip-Hop on Roller Skates; a performance for kids of all ages on Tuesday, July 9th at 10:30 am.
Emmylou Harris, famed country, pop and folk singer will take the stage with songwriter Rodney Crowell on Friday, July 12th at 8:00 pm. Also, Grammy award winning singer and songwriting legends, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Marc Cohn will delight audiences with their well known selections on Friday, July 26th at 8:00 pm. These performances are a must-see for area music lovers.
Also, rounding out the month is the "Happy Together Tour" featuring the best of the 60's and 70's best known Pop Groups on Wednesday, July 31st at 8:00 pm. Featured performers include Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night and Gary Puckett and the Union Gap ready to bring the Morristown's audience their beloved music.
Continuing their commitment to the community, MPAC along with Novartis and morrisarts sponsors a free concert series on the Morristown Green. July's offerings include, "Music Beyond Borders Presents: Argentine Tango Dancers" on Tuesday, July 23rd at 12:30 pm.
Metropolitan area audiences will enjoy the eclectic variety of professional dance, theater and music presentations at the Mayo Performing Arts Center performed throughout the year.
