Luna Stage is now accepting submissions for its 7th Annual New Moon Short Play Festival. The three-day festival draws on Luna's resources as a professional regional theatre to support New Jersey playwrights, showcase local actors, spark meaningful conversation, and build community.

The selected plays will be presented at one of the three evenings, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, May 20-22, at 7:30PM. Performances will be at Luna Stage in West Orange, NJ. Each evening will culminate in a talk-back with the playwrights. Wednesday, May 22 will be an evening dedicated to plays written by area high school students.

The deadline for submission is March 8. Selected plays will be announced by April 15. For full submission guidelines and further information, please visit the New Moon Short Play Festival page on the Luna Stage website at LunaStage.org/Submissions or contact submissions@lunastage.org.

Adult and high school playwrights of all career levels may submit. Submissions must be short plays between five and ten minutes in length, or monologues of up to five minutes in length. Playwrights must be based in New Jersey to be eligible and may only submit one play each for consideration.
