Kaleidoscope Theatre to Present HEIDI at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre, 11/9
Meet the world's most beloved Swiss Miss. A musical adaptation of "Heidi" will be presented by Kaleidoscope Theatre at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
"Heidi" is the tale of a plucky girl with indefatigable good cheer who is navigating the twists and turns of life and family. Orphaned at a young age, she moves to the mountains to live with her stern and withdrawn grandfather. Eventually our charming heroine finds her way into his heart and embraces her new life in the Alps. But more upheaval lies ahead as Heidi is sent abroad by an uncaring aunt, where she must serve as a companion to an invalid girl. Still, she never gives up hope that she will one day be reunited with her dear grandfather and the mountains she loves.
The Rhode-Island based Kaleidoscope Theatre returns to Kelsey Theatre annually to present Popular Productions of classic fairytales. Founded in 1977, the company's goal is to educate and entertain young people through the medium of presentational and participatory drama.
Tickets are $10 for children and seniors, and $12 for adults. Tickets may be purchased online at www.kelseytheatre.net or by calling the Kelsey Theatre Box Office at 609-570-3333. Free parking is available next to the theatre. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible and provides assisted listening devices upon request.
