George Benson to Perform at bergenPAC, 10/19

The soulful guitarman George Benson will be performing live at the Bergen Performing Arts Center on October 19 at 8 PM. He will be performing acoustic versions of hits including "Breezin," "On Broadway" and "Give Me the Night." Tickets are $99, $79, $59, $49.

Benson's musical styling has become iconic because of the mix of his sultry voice and his amazing guitar playing skills. He is one the greatest jazz guitarist that has lived. He gained major success when he began to emphasize his vocals.

His 1976 single "Breezin" was a top 10 hit. It was followed by a string of hit albums. For a time Benson's guitar playing was put in the background. Ultimately in the 1980s he released albums that were solely guitar standards.

Benson's career has been going since the age of 21. Along the way he acquired major success, great respect among the musical community, and eight Grammy awards. Benson will surely put on an amazing show. He truly is a guitar legend.
