EmersonJSHS Mounts Stage Hit 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL Students from the Emerson Jr-Sr High School will be performing a production of 9 to 5 The Musical. This witty entertaining musical is perfect for anyone who ever wanted to get even with their boss!

The production is adapted from the hit 1980 film, which stars Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. The show is about three office workers who plan to take revenge on their bigheaded, deceitful and phony boss. When their plans to get even get out of control, the result develops into a hilarious outcome, sure to result in non-stop laughter.

9 to 5 The Musical, named to the list of "100 Funniest Movies" by the American Film Institute, includes Dolly Parton's title song, "9 to 5," which received two Grammy Awards, among several other honors. The musical opened on Broadway in 2009 and was nominated for four Tony Awards, including Best Score and 15 Drama Desk Awards. The book is written by the film's original screenwriter, Patricia Resnick, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton.

Emerson's musical production, co-directed by Bill and Lisa Ullman and choreographed by Lisa Ullman is presented with special arrangement from Music Theater International, MTI.

Shows will be held on March 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th at 7:30 pm; at the Emerson Jr-Sr High School, 131 Main Street, Emerson, NJ. Emerson student tickets are $5.00 if purchased in advance.
