The Mayo Performing Arts Company presents a variety of events for families with young children in April.

Events include:

Are You My Mother: Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 10 am and 4 pm
Tickets: $12
Baby Bird emerges from her shell alone and embarks on a whimsical adventure to find her mother in this musical based on the popular book.

The Laurie Berkner Band: Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1:30 pm
Tickets: $29-39; $100 Golden Circle with meet and greet
Children's music superstars The Laurie Berkner Band will perform all of your favorites, plus songs from the new album: Laurie Berkner Lullabies. "The undisputed queen of kindie rock." - USA Today

Dinosaur Zoo Live!: Tuesday April 8, 2014 at 4 pm; Wednesday, April 9 at 10 am

Take a journey back to prehistoric times and meet an amazing selection of dinosaurs that come alive through incredible puppetry as children get to interact with these marvelous creatures in an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experience.

The Ugly Ducking and the Tortoise and the Hare Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 1:30 pm and 4 pm

Lightwire Theater uses dazzling visuals, black light effects, music and choreography to literally bring these two classic children's tales into a new and brilliant light.

Scooby Doo Live! Friday, April 18, 2014 at 1 pm and 4 pm

Jeepers! A trouble-making ghost is haunting a local theater and Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, Velma and Scooby are on their way in the Mystery Machine to help solve it! This hilarious live production features groovy musical numbers and outrageous antics, that will have audiences on the edge of their seats like only Scooby can do! Golden Circle comes with meet-and-greet package. Ages 5-12

Sid the Science Kid: Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm
Tickets: $15-30
As seen on PBS Kids! Join Sid and his friends as they discover the excitement and curiosities of the world with you! With mysteries to explain and wonders to discover, Sid and his friends set off on a fun-filled day of excitement and adventure, asking curious questions and finding cool answers.
