Dead on Live Set for SOPAC, 6/10
Dead on Live recreates Phil Lesh's rootless syncopation's, the rhythmic juggernaut of Kreutzmann and Hart, the heart and soul of Pigpen, Bob Weir's and Keith Godchaux's comping, and the touch and tone of Jerry Garcia. Deadheads will enjoy favorites from the early psychedelic 60's of Anthem of the Sun, songwriting gems of Workingman's Dead and American Beauty, the iconic "live" era recordings of Europe '72 to the odd metered lush productions of From the Mars Hotel, Blues for Allah and Terrapin Station.
Lounge in the Loft, a seating area in the SOPAC loft complete with cash bar and snacks, is an excellent way to relax with friends and mingle with other audience members before the show begins and at intermission. Lounge in the Loft will open at 7 p.m., and the performance begins at 8 p.m. A bar in the lobby will also be available. There is an ATM located in the lobby for convenience.
Dead on Live pays tribute to the Grateful Dead at SOPAC June 10 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25-$35 and can be purchased online at SOPACnow.org, or by calling the box office at (973) 313-2787.
