Cape May Stage to Present Liz and Ann Hampton Callaway in HERE COME THE CALLAWAYS!, 7/28
On Monday, July 28, Cape May Stage is ecstatic to welcome back the supremely talented, dynamic sister act of Liz Callaway and Ann Hampton Callaway in "Here Come the Callaways!" Witness their spectacular performance at either 7 p.m. or 9 p.m. at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse in downtown Cape May.
Featuring highlights from their three critically acclaimed acts - "Sibling Revelry," "Relative Harmony" and "Boom!" - "Here Come the Callaways!" represents the best of the best of the repertoire of these Tony-nominated sisters. Their rapport is infectious and their bond undeniable as they bounce between duets and solos. Heartwarming and hilarious, featuring items from the Broadway, pop and jazz catalogues, this universally appealing performance will enchant until the very end of the final note.
Playfully sparring with snappy patter and humorous banter, Liz and Ann are a rare duo who equally impress with their solo numbers and duets. As a Broadway veteran Liz possesses a gorgeous soprano voice, especially evocative in the style of musical theatre. Contrastingly, Ann, a celebrated cabaret performer, boasts a sultry jazz voice with a little bit of a pop twist. Together the Callaways deliver a delightful evening the audience won't soon forget!
"Here Come the Callaways!" is part of Cape May Stage's acclaimed Second Stage Broadway Series. This entertaining evening of cabaret will run Monday, July 28 at 7 p.m. with an encore performance at 9 p.m. The performances take place at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse at the corner of Bank and Lafayette Streets in downtown Cape May.
