CANDICE GUARDINO: ITALIAN BRED Comes to NJPAC

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) Presents Candice Guardino: Italian Bred on Saturday January 26 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Created, written by and starring Candice Guardino, Italian Bred is based on true-life events seen through the eyes of a little girl.

Having written down everything her loving and outspoken grandmother ever uttered, Guardino slips in and out of multiple family characters as she cooks up a full meal of fun and laughter. In this solo show, she shares the stage with virtual cameos of Emmy winner Leslie Jordan (Will and Grace), Mario Cantone (Sex and the City), Steve Schirripa (The Sopranos) and Vic DiBitetto (Mall Cop 2).

Guardino grew up singing, dancing and performing weekly recitals for her family in their living room. As a child, she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her idols: Lily Tomlin, Carol Burnett and her great-uncle, the late Harry Guardino of TV, film and stage. Along with performing on stage and originating roles in the heart of Broadway, she has written screenplays, dramas, sketch comedies and sitcoms.

The Hit Theatrical Comedy: Italian Bred which is fresh off Sold-out shows at Two River Theater in NJ as well as crowds in LA, NY, FL and Chicago.
