Broadway's JERSEY BOYS Star Comes to UCPAC, 10/26
In The Journey Home, Russell Fischer (star of Broadway's Jersey Boys) revisits his fondest memories growing up, performing everywhere from his childhood backyard to the Broadway boards. Drawing inspiration from musical theater to pop/rock, he shares his discoveries in redefining the concept of "home". This exclusive NJ engagement features musical direction and accompaniment by Joshua Stephen Kartes.
Russell Fischer recently appeared on Broadway in Jersey Boys, where he understudied and appeared as Frankie Valli. Other credits include the 2nd National Tour of Big (Billy), Thoroughly Modern Millie at Plays in the Park, The Music Man at Chautauqua Opera, Children of Eden at Paper Mill Playhouse, The Sound of Music at the Palace in Myrtle Beach, SC, and Monkey: Journey to the West at Spoleto Festival, Charleston, SC.
Russell was the recipient of the 2003 Governor's Award for excellence in theater arts, as well as the 2004 Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Scholarship. He has given private coachings in addition to teaching workshops and master classes through Arts YOUniversity, VoiceWorks, Camp Broadway, Continuo Arts, Ken Davenport Productions, Thuzio and Students Live.Tickets are $30 General Admission and $18 Students (at Box Office Only with ID.
