According to the organization, "the group was formed a few months ago because of the enormity of unbelievable actions taken by the White House and the Trump Administration. We formed through local connections here in Sussex County. Moving forward from signing petitions and posting on social media against the toxic agenda, we decided to take matters into our own hands and physically do something about it.

We must stand strong and fight back."

Sussex County voter demographics are said to be comprised of 30% of democrats, liberals and independents. The group aims to "spread the word that it's ok to have a different opinion than what might be the 'norm.' Also for the fact that in most years the democratic ticket has been few if not absent from our county ballot and this year we have 6 running that are being backed by the Sussex County Democratic Committee. Kate Matteson, Gina Trish, Dan Perez, Jennifer Hamilton, Michele Van Allen and Ben Silva along with others making 8 total for the primary election on June 6th."
