Jack & The Beanstalk (Prince Street Players Version) is a magical retelling of a most beloved adventure, and a tuneful, fast-paced musical comedy specifically created for younger audiences. This playful pantomime style offers direct asides to the audience and involves audience participation to be appreciated by the youngest of theatregoers. The show runs approximately 60 minutes and is suitable for children of all ages.

First appearing in 1734, this English fairy tale chronicles the adventures of a poor, little boy named Jack who does his best to save his family and trades a cow for magic beans. When Jack awakens the next morning, he discovers a beanstalk to the sky where he finds a castle inhabited by a mean giant and his wife. Jack must find the
courage to escape the giant and return safely to earth with the giant's magical treasures: a golden harp and a golden goose.

Director Bill Kaufman of Fair Lawn is no stranger to theatre. With over 40 years of directing experience, he has helmed more than 100 shows with actors and singers of all ages. His directing credits include productions at The Ridgewood Gilbert and Sullivan Players, William Paterson University, Garden State Opera, Montclair Operetta Club, Old Library Theatre, Studio Players, Teaneck New Theatre, and Playhouse on the Mall. Bill has also spent 20 years as resident director at James Caldwell High School and has received several nominations for the Papermill Playhouse Rising Stars Program. He recently appeared in BCP's production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood
and in How to Succeed in Business with Leonia Summerstage. As Bill reminds us, "It's important to be in service to our family and friends. It is Jack's sense of empathy and desire to be in service that propels this magical adventure to begin with; and it is his
courage and determination that brings him back to earth with fortune and freedom for his family." Jack & The Beanstalk promises a special treat for theatregoers this holiday season. Order your tickets soon, as seats are moving fast and are bound to sell out.
