BWW Blog: Leanne Marie Laurino - Under the Lights
Show teasers allow the opportunity to publicize a production as well as create anticipation for opening night! It the last chance to give a potential audience the flavor of your performance. As students, there is added pressure put on us to prove that our dedication is inimitable. This week's preparation has taught me that there is no substitute for teamwork. We all have our own piece of the puzzle to contribute and it is our job to put our best work on stage. For our school concert, the cast of Spelling Bee performed the title song as well as our own rendition of "Pandemonium". These two contrasting pieces expressed the shows versatility and improvisational comedy. Our family and friends were able to share our love for theatre in the midst of works from the choral and instrumental students. With less than a month until the curtain rises, there is no time for uncertainty. The weeks ahead will surely test our strength and stamina. As the spellers buckle down, audiences prepare to embrace the characters that they will come to know and love.
