BONNIE AND CLYDE to Run 6/17-26 at Kelsey Theatre

It's a love story that quickly spirals out of control into crime and violence - leading to only one possible ending. Pierrot Productions presents "Bonnie and Clyde, The Musical" at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre Fridays, June 17 and 24 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, June 18 and 25 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, June 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on June 17.

It's 1930s Texas in the midst of the Great Depression when young Bonnie Parker falls in love with Clyde Barrow, a criminal on the run. Once they join forces in a series of store and bank robberies, the violence and body count start to rise. The ill-fated lovers soon find themselves at the top of the Public Enemies list - villains to many and folk heroes to some during desperate times.

This musical adaptation of the notorious couple features music by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Don Black, and book by Ivan Menchell. Wildhorn describes the music as a "non-traditional score, combining rockabilly, blues and gospel music."

Starring in "Bonnie and Clyde" are Jordan Virgil of East Windsor as Bonnie; Mike Lovett of Ewing as Clyde; Nick Pecht of Hamilton as Clyde's brother, Buck Barrow; Sarah Cohn of Yardley, Pa., as Buck's wife, Blanche; Jeff Rosenthal of Dayton as Ted; and Gina Migliaccio of Hamilton as the Preacher.

Also featured are Haley Ackermann of Palmyra as the Governor/Trish; Arnold Aromando of Neshanic as the Sheriff/Policeman; Teddy Brendel of Cranbury as Young Clyde; Heather Corson of Lawrenceville as Teller/Shopkeeper; Mark D'Zurilla of Titusville as Henry; Lindsay Deal of Clementon as Eleanore; Jackie Galli of Ewing as Archie/Customer; Susan Hoffman of Robbinsville as Cumie; Jen Huckleberry of Columbus as Stella; Cambria Klein of Haddon Heights as Young Bonnie; Fay Reiter of Princeton as Emma; John Russell of Mercerville as Joe/Hamer; Chris Schmalbach of Palmyra as Guard/Alcorn; and Jason Wylie of Wrightstown as Bud.

The production team includes Director Pete LaBriola, Music/Vocal Director Erica Silver, Choreographer Kat Ross Kline, Stage Manager Virginia McGowen and Tech Director Bernie McGowen. Costumes are by Ruth Rittmann and properties are by Amy Bessellieu.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for senior citizens, and $16 for students and children. Free parking is available next to the theater. "Bonnie and Clyde" completes the 2015-16 Kelsey Theatre season. Tickets are now on sale for summer events, with current subscribers receiving a 20 percent discount on all tickets. Shows include the "Willy Wonka" musical, based on the famed Roald Dahl book, presented by The Yardley Players July 1 to 10; Reock and Roll Revue's tribute to Jackson Browne and his "Running On Empty" album for two concerts only, July 16 and 17; M & M Stage's "Anything Goes," featuring classic Cole Porter tunes, July 29 to August 7; and, on August 20, "The Kelsey Awards," a variety show mix of comedy, music and dance, plus an awards ceremony recognizing the 2015-16 season's best work.
