Alliance Repertory Theatre Co. Presents Neil LaBute's Tony Nominated Best Play "reasons to be pretty"

A firestorm of abuse and invective, hot enough to scald the hide off a thick-skinned man, blasts through the opening minutes of "reasons to be pretty." The play, a love story about the impossibility of love, introduces us to Greg, who really, truly adores his girlfriend Steph. Unfortunately, he also thinks she has a few physical imperfections, and when he causally mentions them, all hell breaks loose. A hopelessly romantic drama about the hopelessness of romance, reasons to be pretty is a gorgeous play.

Artistic Director Mike Driscoll directs a talented cast including company member Jessica Candelmo Lomazzo of Red Bank as Carly, and three newcomers: Michael Bernardi and Rachel Brown of Jersey City as Kent and Stephanie and Brad Howell of Toms River as Greg.

Mr. Driscoll's Assistant Director is Emma Schwartz of Westfield.
