Alliance Repertory Theatre Company presents Neil Simon's Last of the Red Hot Lovers. The experienced cast consists of husband and wife team John and Linda Correll of Winfield Park, Jen Hanselman of New Brunswick, and Joy Salerno of East Brunswick.  Company Manager Douglas Brautigam of East Brunswick directs.

Barney Cashman, a middle-aged married nebbish, is seeking to join the sexual revolution before its too late. A gentle soul with no experience in adultery, he fails in each of these seductions - a sexpot who likes cigarettes, whiskey, and other women's husbands, an actress friend who he discovers is madder than a hatter, and his wife's best friend, a staunch moralist. The Broadway production, opened December 28, 1969 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre, where it ran for 706 performances. The play, and stars, Coco, Lavin, and Moore all were nominated for Tony Awards.

This hilarious Alliance Repertory production comes to life in the beautifully renovated Union County Performing Arts Center. The show runs from Feb. 27-Mar. 14, 2009. Friday and Saturday evening performances are at 8:00 PM, Sunday matinees are at 2 PM.

Tickets cost $27.00. Students and seniors can get tickets for $17.00.
