The Open Door Theatre Presents William Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST

"We are such stuff as dreams are made on..."

The Open Door Theatre will present The Tempest by William Shakespeare July 12 through 14 at 7:30 pm and July 15 at 3:00 pm in the Mainstage Theatre at 58 Depot Hill Road in Henniker, NH.

We begin with a storm at sea, a mighty tempest that shipwrecks no less than the King of Naples and his entourage. They wash ashore on a remote island inhabited by a magician Prospera and her daughter Miranda. Prospera has used her powers, aided by her spirit servant Ariel, to create this storm which brings her face to face with her wicked sister Antonia who along with the King of Naples usurped her title 12 years ago. Finally, Prospera can enact her revenge and return home to Milan with her daughter. Or will she?

Be sure to join us for one of Shakespeare's most beloved plays - filled with wonder and imagination, love and laughter, and revenge and reconciliation.
