RENT! Takes The Rep Stage This Summer 6/18-7/18

Seacoast Repertory Theatre proudly presents Jonathan Larson's smash hit RENT. The show runs from June 18 through July 18 , 2010. Tickets are currently on sale online or through the box office located at the Theatre, 125 Bow St., Portsmouth.

Winner of four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book & Best Score, six Drama Desk Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book & Best Score, the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama Jonathan Larson's ground-breaking work follows a year in the lives of seven friends in New York's East Village as AIDS and its physical and emotional complications pervade their lives. A powerful musical that touches all generations, "Rent" has, by itself, made musical theater joyously important again.

At the helm of this production is Director/Choreographer Brian Swazey who returns to the Rep having last directed and choreographer this season smash hit Altar Boyz. In addition to Mr. Carr the creative/production team for RENT includes Craig J. Faulkner (Artistic Director), David Towlun (Scenic Designer/Production Manager), Tony Lauro (Costume Designer), Matt Guminski (Lighting Designer), Dennis Munroe (Sound Designer), Lauri Gagnon (Properties Mistress), Melissa Meyreles (Stage Manager) and Jason Helias (Technical Director/Master Electricia.)
