Peterborough Players to Present JACOB MARLEY'S CHRISTMAS CAROL Peterborough Players will present Jacob Marley'S CHRISTMAS CAROL, running December 7-17.

"Marley was dead, to begin with..."-and what happens to Ebenezer Scrooge's mean, sour, pruney old business partner after that? Chained and shackled, Marley is condemned to a hellish eternity. He's even given his own private tormentor: a malicious little hell-sprite who thoroughly enjoys his work. Desperate, Marley accepts his one chance to free himself: to escape his own chains, he must first redeem Scrooge. So begins a journey of laughter and terror, redemption and renewal, during which Scrooge's heart, indeed, is opened; but not before Marley-in this irreverent, funny, and deeply moving story-discovers his own. And in embracing the influences of the original story, the show will include classic Christmas Carols that have been arranged under the auspices of Musical Director Tom Frey.

Featuring a cast of Players favorites including Bridget Beirne, Tom Frey, Kraig Swartz and Jared Starkey and Directed by Charles Morey. Show plays December 7-17, is co-sponsored by Atkins Callahan and is Rated PG. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30pm, with 2:00pm matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday.

The Peterborough Players 2nd Annual Winter Season of Plays also includes the comedy-drama Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe playing February 1-11 and Ripcord by Pulitzer Prize-Winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire playing February 15-25.

Single tickets are $39, 3-Play Subscriptions are $180 and 6-ticket flex passes can be purchased for $204. All options are on sale now.
