The Peterborough Players presents its first children's show of the season, A Duck Called Ugly, adapted by Catherine Gray from the book The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Andersen. Appropriate for children age four and up, this beloved story opens June 29th and runs for a total of nine performances through July 21st; all performances start at 10:30 a.m. and end at approximately 11:20 a.m.

A Duck Called Ugly is a tale of finding true beauty, a sense of belonging, and discovering that what's on the inside is what counts. This beloved story of the "ugly duckling" that grows into a swan is performed by The Players' Second Company of interns and apprentices, who are available to sign autographs and take photos with the children in the lobby or on the patio after each performance. Second Company shows are priced to encourage family attendance, and families may use The Players' grounds to picnic before or after the show.
