The global hit independent film, The Florida Project opens this Thursday, January 25th at The Park Theatre's River Street Theatre in Jaffrey after scoring an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor by Willem Dafoe.

The Florida Project, directed by Sean Baker (Take Out, Tangerine, Prince of Broadway), tells the story of a precocious six-year-old and her ragtag group of friends whose summer break is filled with childhood wonder, possibility and a sense of adventure while the adults around them struggle with hard times. The film takes place at a budget motel located just outside the gates of Walt Disney World in Orlando. The cast includes Willem Dafoe (Mississippi Burning, The English Patient, Platoon, Grand Budapest Hotel) as the indefatigable and kindly motel manager as well as the new seven-year-old actress, Brooklynn Prince.

The Florida Project has won over 50 film awards around the world including the American Film Institute's Movie of the Year Award.

Showtimes are Thursday/Friday/Saturday, January 25-27, all at 7pm. Matinee presentations will play at 2pm on Saturday/Sunday, January 27 & 28

Tickets for The Florida Project (Rated R) are $8.00. Seniors, military, students, teachers are $7.00.
