New Hampshire Theatre Project presents The Cast Party on November 17th, 2011.

When New Hampshire Theatre Project asked what sort of fundraiser would capture the spirit of the theatre, two parents from the NHTP Repertory Company had the answer: Let our supporters experience the same magic as our kids, by putting them up on stage!

So was born The Cast Party, an event that NHTP hopes to make into an annual tradition. Actors from NHTP's professional company will invite audience members to take their seats and then invite them to leave their roles as audience members and step into the spotlight. Artists will lead participants in storytelling, theatre games, comedy improv, stage combat and song - all in an effort to raise money for NHTP.

The Cast Party is being hosted by volunteer parents Michael Megliola and Alison Forbes, both Portsmouth residents and devoted NHTP supporters. "My son Anthony lights up when he's on that stage," says Michael Megliola, former CEO of Portsmouth Financial Systems, "I can only guess what it will do for the parents."

Alison Forbes, of Forbes Educational Consulting, says, "NHTP is all about ensemble. We teach our kids to work with and support each other. Let's have some fun doing the same!"

Dedicated to creating excellent theatre that encourages both personal and community transformation, NHTP is delighted to offer our fans the opportunity experience their own moment in the spotlight and support the theatre at the same time.
